RDWC Pump Idea

Hey whats up guys....

Quick question, just getting rid of my fish tank, and i got a canister filter.... can i use this for a rdwc setup? I would take out the filters so itll just be circulating nutes and water. Nothing screams no i cant do this. Other than making sure the whole filter is sterile in and out. What do yall think?

One problem would be its for 250 gallons an hour. and I will only be doing maybe around 20 gallons of water.... too much movement? If the input is at the bottom and the output at water level... i was thinking of maybe a diffuser at the input so it isnt soo agitated.

Id have the pump pull for the last bucket and input into a resevior.

I gotta ask ..... How bigs the fish tank? Also a pic of the pump would perhaps help with some ideals or concerns. My pump is 65 gph and it works well for my setup but newb here! How many pails u running?

I run an rdwc I made and use a 390 gph pump to circulate 25 gallon system and it works great. 4-5 gallon buckets with a rez outside the room.

Fancy can you explain your flow schematic? Right now i just run some DWC buckets. But i made the, with two valves top and bottom. Just so i could eventually go rdwc. One thing i dont do is measure my ppm's. Do you? I can see with this kind of setup you would need to...
