RDWC PH typically goes up or down ???

out of curiousity, how do ensure that the KSil doesn't precipitate out of solution if adding it to a res with nutes in it already?
It doesn't seem to drop out and I'm not adding that much since I'm just using it for ph up. Also I think making it soluble the way Bugbee does makes a difference.

i've used the tap and the ro formulas before. are you getting a pH drop after about 5 days or so in your res? mine would stay very stable and then drop (and then have to use pH up )

I use an 80/20 mix or RO/tap and I let it stablelize in my top off barrel for 24hrs.
It goes up slightly after I put it in my res, then starts dropping for 2 days. Then a slow drift up after that.
I'm using tap water that starts around 150ppm.
Their tap formula contains 3% Ammoniacal nitrogen and needs water with a lot of buffer to prevent big drops in ph I believe.
That's why I mix the 2 and use mostly the RO which has only .3% Ammoniacal nitrogen.
I'm far from an expert on this though...
They are very nice and available at Jack's so you can call and talk with them.
I even sent them my water for analisys and recommendations. They sent me a chart of what the mix of RO/tap would contain as well as recommendations on what the plant needs in different stages of growth. This made it a lot easier for me to dial in.
