Hey, don't let anyone discourage you. Use some cheap seedlings, find a good ISOLATED place where there is lots of vegetation growing already, that way you'll know if the soil is fertile or not. Don't tell anyone. I'm with you on this one. I mean, odds are that when you come back in the fall you won't have any plants at all. I'm also assuming that much like me, planting random seeds in the wilderness is a "pet project" and you probably have a real grow going on elsewhere. What can it hurt? Just be careful, don't leave trash or evidence, and plan on bushwhacking into the back country for miles to secure your location. Just don't expect to harvest any decent smoke. As Johnney said, when you come back in the fall there probably wont be anything there, but I can't think of a better excuse to go on a hike. Have fun!
