i'v been using rainwater for my outdoor so i thought why not use it indoors also is this a good idea my well water ppm is about 600 and i really don't want to buy a RO system so what do you think? what would you do with my options?

As long as you can keep it clean it'll work fine. I used rainwater in my first DWC setups worked pretty well as long as your catch and holding tank are clean.
If clean collection is an issue, it's pretty easy to make a hanging carbon filter and just wick water to it.

rainwater is great . I use it most of the year for my hydro. occasionally it runs dry and i have a r/o filter for backup.

As long as you check the ph, No problem..

I would personally Boil rainwater before use, just to be on the safe side, it can contain pathogenic mold spores,viruses, and bacteria, a Good hard boil will kill MOST things not all, but Most. Just my 2cents.

Depends how you collect it. If it comes from a roof it also washes all kinds of bird poo and similiar undesireables with it. It can also he a vector for pests to enter your crop.

I use it for indoor. I get it from runoff from the roof and filter it through a cloth to keep out the gravel. It comes out to 33ppm and Ph of 7.5 Never had a problem. I don't boil, carbon or RO filter. My plants love it more than tap or even filtered.

i'm planning to use it with organic soil anybody use it for living soil?

For living soil I’d only give water collected from deep inside a glacial crevasse atop a high peak in the Himalayas. Then it is melted down at room temperature on a sliver platter and par-boiled, vapor distilled, and RO filtered…but that’s just how I roll. I am fairly sure that shwag ass rain water from the sky will do exactly the same. Your plants won’t care anyway…
