Quite My Fans

What would be the best way to quite my fans down a bit, I have a 4" and 6" inline vortex fan. Any options?

most of the noise from a fan comes from vibrations..not the actual movement of air. make sure your fan is resting on something that will absorb vibrations ie; t shirt, foam anything not hard like the floor
