Quiet Air Pump

Any suggestions for quiet air pumps, or ways to muffle one without blocking the air intake?

I've got 2 DWC reservoirs in my vegging chamber (1 for moms, 1 for a short veg on clones before flowering) and 1 ebb and flow reservoir in my flowering chamber. I currently am using 2 of walmart's cheapest aquarium air pumps (1 for both veg reservoirs, 1 for the flowering).

My grow box is in my bedroom due to space constraints and the air pumps can be a bit annoying at night. I can live with the noise, but I'm hoping someone might be able to recommend a near silent air pump.

More airflow at the same volume would also be fine because I'd like to get more bubbles in the DWCs, but I'm hesitant to go to a larger air pump because I don't want to increase the noise at night.

I have two of those pumps and they are about as quiet as your going to get. Some of tetra's whisper series may be a hair more quiet - but not really enough to make a huge difference. Moving air is going to create some noise. To be honest I have my fans on while I sleep and I can't even here the air pumps.

This aquarium pump thing is working ok for the moment, but I really believe that only high volume air pumps should be used to move a lot more air. This 2800 cc/min pumps aren't doing the job. I'm going to be moving up to those dual diaphram pumps that move around 340 gallons an hour for the 2 18" wands in my veg chamber. The flower chamber is going to be run by one of the commerical units moving 600 gallons an hour.

BTW - these are only opinions of a experience soil grower fiddling with DWC at the moment. So far, I'm loving it - I'll just be doing a few things differently soon.

Is it the vibration noise that's the problem? If so, I'd go to WalMart or a fabric store and get a felt pad for the pump to sit on. Also, make sure there is plenty of room around the pump so that nothing is touching the housing or hoses.
