Quick wash Everclear 190 purge question

So I did a super mini run to see if I am going to like this stuff and it came out great looking. Ran 3.5 g in freezing conditions and got very little a grade and b grade. I purged on a griddle very low temps (90-100degrees) and it came out very clear and shatter like. My main question is.... Is the heat purging enough for this little amount of oil? I was thinking of putting it all together on parchment and throw it in the oven on the lowest setting for about 10 mins. The lowest setting is 170 degrees and I don't want to destroy too many terps but I want a safe oil to consume. Any advice is appreciated.

Using 190 poof Everclear as a solvent it should not be a problem if some is left behind.

Are you making this oil/shatter for smoking or vaping? Or are you making it to ingest, like Rick Simpson oil?

If you want to keep the oil at its highest medicinal state (preserving the terpenes and such), use no heat whatsoever. Just air dry the product. That is why I prefer making my concentrates in the winter while the air is dry. It makes the job easier.

If it is for ingesting, heat would be required if you intend on ingesting it within 100 days. I highly prefer allowing the oil to sit, even if it is a little liquid, for 100 days minimum in a vial in a dark place. This will allow the product to fully decarb within 4 months. Do not fill the vial all the way because the cannabis oil will release CO2 while it decarbs and it will build up pressure.

I don't know yet if it is best to release the pressure daily from the vial or simply wait until it is ready for use.

For the highest medicinal oil it is preferred to use fresh buds. The terpenes will evaporate away even in bud form. The terpenes are very delicate.

As GG notes, the monoterpenes are delicate, and ethanol is not toxic at the levels encountered in even poorly purged QWET, so you have options.

One is to use it as is. It adds a sweet flavor.

If you want to remove the rest of the alcohol, it will go fastest if you liquify the puddle to lower surface tension enough for molecules to escape, and place it under vacuum. I use 115F under -29.5" Hg vacuum for that purpose.

You didn't mention your planned end product, but if it includes decarbed oil, you can rapidly purge and decarboxylate the oil by setting it in a 250F hot vegetable oil bath for around 30 minutes, but in reality you watch the CO2 bubble generation to tell when you are done.

As GG touched on, when you do that, the monoterpenes are either driven off or changed in nature, so you end up primarily with some sesquiterpenes and mostly diterpene cannabinoids.

GG u rule, I just got a few bottles o everclear 190 in the mail(state don't carry it) and ran a fresh batch of medi bomb#1 ,dried ,frozen,and did about a half of sugar trim n popcorn with vector butane and finished with everclear and got 2 grams of the best golden goo I have ever seen.. it looked like straight honey.. no vac. purge because i ont have one.. just air dry with a fan and a heating pad..I would post a pic but we smoked it already,,lmao
