Quick thought. An indoor/outdoor combo

What if one were to expose a floor leading to the ground, plant in it, but use artificial lighting still being indoor? Kind of like a reverse greenhouse. It would help achieve more outdoor like yields due to a superior root system. Thoughts? Not saying I would try it, just wondering about it and if it's been done in any way. I guess this is mostly the same as just using a really big container, except in this case, our container is limitless. So you could then veg for as long as you pretty much wanted for insane yield without fear of the plant becoming rootbound. Annnnyway. This post is probably too long now.

sounds like it could be a good idea except for the fact that you would have some major pest problems you might as well just put them outdoors or get a 10 gal rubermaid tub if your looking for a huge plant but what do i know
