Quick Dry Tips?

Have you compared cured bud from that device and normally cured bud (glass jars)?

Actually it’s smoother then my paper bag method. I gave some to some neighbours who also enjoy a good smoke, and are growers themselves. I was told it was the tastiest weed they ever had, and also commented on how smooth it was. I have done 5 grows beforehand via paper bag drying and curing in jars, and this freeze dried stuff is better. I used to do the microwave trick when I got hard up for a smoke. However, it would always put this burt STANK on my fingers, the grinder, the weed, and the very air I was breathing. Plus, the bud would dry unevenly and sometimes start on fire (depending on how many seconds).

But, if you overlook all that, nuking wet weed will deliver on the high. To get around the aforementioned issues, I started tossing buds in one of those cheap food dehydrators (with the shelves). The nugs took longer to dry. It was a harsh smoke, but a massive upgrade.

These days, I'm a bit of a snob and insist on something handled with more care.

well I grew a few strains I had grown before. The Glookies pictured above is actually a good strain for comparison from paper to freeze dried. I grew it in my tent, paper dried and cured in jars. I then took that same plant, left some small bud sites on and threw outside, revegged and harvested again with my freeze dryer this time. The taste was pretty close but a slight edge the revegged freeze dried bud, and I thought the high was slightly more intense. Sure, it could also be environmental and natural sun to LED, but worth noting. well there's box wine and vintage. il stick to vintage. taste is relative anyway, there's no device that will remove the subtle flavors as anaerobic bacteria. it always seems to be marketed to people with no patience. the 21 days it takes to get the bare minimum is something that is put into end cost anyway. major producers make millions and this seems tech geared to them
people out of touch with their own plants. but green is green...
 
OK how about an alternative, if you have some fresh bud (or even shake) and don't want to wait?

Could you decarboxylate some freshly cut and make brownies or whatever, or do an iso or Everclear oil?

I looked into all types of extract methods and ways to make edibles.
In the end I just decarbed trim in my oven and mix a couple grams with yoghurt or vanilla sauce.
 
I didn’t mean any disrespect. I hit send way too early.. but I cut a tiny branch a few days ago.. but I’m within 10 days of chop for sure.. I’m still not fast drying the sample. I will have already chopped before I try it. Always give it time.
