Hey, I got a book on Drip Feeders.
I see most DRIP Feeders placed on a TIMER, IF the Drip feeder is providing a flow, or STREAM of water, instead of just a drip. If it is a true drip, meaning it drips a drop at a time, then let it drip 24/7.

A FLOW without added Air and Bubbles can drown it.

Once my roots reach the reservoir, I no longer use the drip. I let the bubbles and bubbling water feed the roots, no drip up top necessary...hope that helps

I continue to run either the air pump driven drip ring in the waterfarms or the water pump driven diy dwc container drip lines I have just to add more humidity to my grow areas; not necessarily for feeding nutrients.
