Has anyone ever heard of putting birth control pill in every gallon of water that you feed your plant? I heard that it gives them something extra that the female plant needs?

This topic has been discussed here before. It sounds like a bad idea because you can't flush out the estrogen even if it works.

Ethinylestradiol (the birth control pill) is 35-50% responsible for changing the sex of fresh water fish. It isn't biodegradable and is having a huge effect on fish populations. Besides, I cannot see how this would help the plant as it is too big a molecule to be taken up by the roots.
This has been proven wrong so many times, but yet people still believe in it. The fact is that the birth control pill will have absolutely zero effect on your plants sex.
