Questions on Treating Non Hodgkin Lymphoma and more

I have a few questions
I have a good friend I'm trying to help treat for several issues. Mainly stage 2 Non Hodgkin lymphoma. He also has only 1 lung, is diabetic. And has liver issues as well.
I want to start him on rick Simpson oil. But he's concerned that because he's on SSD , Medicare and medicade that if they test him pos. They'll cut him off.
Anyone had any experience with situations like this.
Any and all help greatly appreciated

I can see why no one wants to touch this yet, it is a very difficult one. IMHO Rick Simpson oil (RSO) is the only option for a bunch of reasons. Smoking is out since he only has one lung. Edibles seem too risky, cookies and such with sugar are likely an issue with diabetes. Also, ingesting it means it has to pass through the liver where THCa and CBDa will be converted to THC and CBD.

RSO is just another method of making cannabis oil and can be very dangerous to make if you do it wrong. His choice of Naphtha as a solvent is one reason, but cooking of ALL the solvent is likely more difficult. I wanted to make some for my MS, but a 1lb is financially out of reach for me at this time.

In my vast searching I found a You Tube video by a lady who makes her own much more safely and she only uses an ounce of bud in each batch. She uses Everclear which is over 90%, a grain alcohol made from corn. She cooks off the solvent with her homemade double boiler setup. It looks very safe and effective to prepare. I have it bookmarked so I will eventually find it and post a link here when I do.

Being in Canada I cannot speak to the risk with SSD testing him. Some more experience users from the US will have to weigh in on that one.

a pound of bud a month, to make a gram a day keep in mind. or just hit the dab when needed?
ssi doesnt drug test in mi, but pain docs do. your friend could get his mj card, last thing he needs is a possession rap right now.
cannabis oil is not a cure but will provide some physical/mental relief to your friend.

In my searching I viewed many more videos, many were good but glossed over some parts. This one I found very impressive, easy and safe. YMMV.

Also I do not recommend isopropyl alcohol as much of it is intentionally poisoned with methanol to stop people from drinking it.

Thanks for the replays yea I should have left the SSD part out.
It's a bit daunting bringing things like that into the equation
