Questions on measuring pH..

Hi guys, so I have learnt that good pH for soil is between 6.0 - 6.8, now I have several questions, please help:

1. How to check my current pH in soil? (can I just stick in my pH meter in the soil?)

2. is 6.0 - 6.8 pH good for water without nutes? How if my pH went above / under those numbers after I put my nutes in?

Thanks

Yep that's a good pH for soil grow.
Always pH your water after adding nutriments. The nutrients will change the pH.
The pH meters that have the prong on them yes, just stick it in the soil. You need a different pH meter to measure the pH in your water.
