hey guys, currently i have a large plant thats about 4.5 feet tall in a large metal tool cabinet. after doing some research on my first grow ive decided i wanted to do a SOG set up instead with small plants. The cabinet is 16.5 inches deep, 46 across and over 6 feet tall (roughly). i want this to be all flowering, and ill do veg in another cabinet.

how many plants would i be able to fit in this set up? i was thinking of dividing it into two as its very tall and doing 2 grow seperate rooms. doing 3 plants deep, 8 maybe 9 across in 5"x5" soil pots for first few harvests then switching to DWC / bubbleponics for faster harvests.

would that be too many plants? Also would i be better off topping them, doing a scrog or letting mother nature handle it for yield / harvest time. Maybe even LST, such as tying it down the pot.

btw right now im using 400w hps light suspended from the top, can i still use this in a 3 foot tall space if i split the cabinet? using a DIY cooltube. CFL opinions are also welcome for this set up.

thanks for the help guys!

heres some pics to give you a general idea of what im trying to do

ps whats the yellowing from on the middle of the fan leaves? too close to lamp? i think i brushed it against the lexan shield on accident a few days ago, thinking it might be that.

if you're doing a scrog I would put 3-5 plants total as they will expand horizontally instead of vertically
