Questions from a new(ish) grower

Hi people, hold on tight this is turning into an essay.
I'm relatively new to growing, having completed two indoor grows with a third almost done. A friend of mine taught me what I thought was the right way to do it, but the more I delve into information available online the more I realise he was mostly growing as a side hustle, basically small mouldy PGR'd buds that smell crap. I want to grow good quality bud, my parents both use it for medical reasons and I'll be back on it soon myself. Having a bit surplus to our needs is always a bonus.
I've messed around with his recipe a little bit and switched to LED lighting. But I really want to grow better and bigger weed.

I'm in Australia, lets all assume Canberra because its not illegal to grow a couple plants there...

My latest grow hasn't yielded what I had had achieved in previous grows, but it has been the first grow I've done in colder seasons. My grow room is purpose built but for all essential purposes, its a timber shack tucked into an elbow under my house with fans coming in from directly outside. I've lined my Veg room with reflective bubble wrap insulation and got an oil heater running all the time, which made a difference in temps. I have not done the same with my flowering room.

I'm currently running 3 of these LED's: https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...7.html?spm=a2756.review-list-buyer.0.0.kCfnz4 - 2 plants per light.
But I was previously running a couple of 600w HPS lights. I switched over mid grow to the LED's just recently. I was considering mixing it up and running my LED's with a HPS in the mix on my next grow.
Will throwing a HPS in the room with my LED's help with grows during the colder months? And what else can I do to help my plants in colder months?

I'm growing in Coco. My nutrient's have mostly been Canna Classic, with some Cyco Suger rush and super sticky added in the final few weeks. I did use Superbud as recommended by my friend in earlier grows, however after learning a bit more about it I have stopped.
I think I've been having some nutrient issues, very dark green leaves with burnt tips?
I'd like to try a grow only using the one line of nutrients, I'm trying to choose between Canna and Reiziger as they are both pretty easy to use. Really just getting put off by the cost of Canna but its ease of use its great. - Any advice here would be welcome.

Anyway, I've got two Cali Dream plants I'm about to cut down that have pretty small uninspiring buds (good big trichomes on em though). What can I do to make them bigger? Or is it just because its been cold?
I've got some plans for the future, having a small tent inside for early vegging and maybe trying some c02 mushroom bags.

I'm after any advice you could give me to improve my buds, both in size and quality.

Happy growing!

Are u watering feeding every day with 1/4 strength nutes till runoff?

Don't add a bunch of additives untill you understand the base nutes and the plants needs, it just complicates things
