A plant started developing preflowers around 1.5 months of growth. No pistils were visible so a little after 2 months the photoperiod was changed to 12/12(The photoperiod may have been changed too early). Now after about two weeks every top has several pistils as well as almost all of the branch internodes on the main branches. Although, the preflowers along the main stem do not have pistils and continue to appear as small as when they first developed.
I have read that pistils form from the tops of plants downward. Do you think the pistils could still form this late or do you think the lower internodes contain male preflowers? It appears that all of the preflowers since the change of photoperiod are pistillate.
But has these on the lower branches
