Questions about Males

So this is still my very first grow, and even though I really messed up the temps from the beginning I'm still holding out that one of my four plants will endure to be female. Just to be sure, so I don't kill any precious ladies, I've taken some pics of the male I'm about to pull to ask some questions. Phone Camera did not want to work with me today, so please bare with me. Okay, first picture I have two red circles around what I believe are Male Preflowers. If this is the case, and only males will develop little-tiny-round-green offshoots (Just below/on the outside of the center of the node) then I have two males for certain. The next two pictures are what I believe to be developed male flowers, or Balls. I circled them all with black circles, and just want confirmation that I'm not insane, those will never be female flowers. If I'm right, it is off with two heads tonight. (I'm over a week into 12/12 after 2 months Veg, so It should be time to spot the males, yes??)

Hey I just saw ya post and lets see. The pic with black circles I think is male but gets very blurry when I zoom on it, I'd give em a few more days to see if the sacks develop. One thing I do like is males do develop before girls do.

I don't really have a doubt it's a male... The main thing I want to know is whether or not females will ever get growths in the red circled area?

Okay so I managed to get a somewhat better picture of the growth in question. Again, I have circled my problem area with red circles, and would very much like to know if this is a male only place to grow these little round things that developed this week.

It's called questions about males what did you expect it to be? I knew it was a boy, I just want to know about the circled red parts and whether they are male specific as well?!? :'(

Males for sure. Ever if a male still produced some female flowers, the plant would pollinate itself and you will have a heavily seeded crop in your grow room. Even the seeds from such a cross will be hermaphrodite (although the seeds will turn out to be 100% female from such a cross, the seeds will also have the bi-sexual tendencies you don't want). With a god eye, one should be able to spot male pre-flowers by the 5th or 6th week of vegetative growth. That intersecting point you photographed will be the first place you will see the pre-flowers (as they are called). Look between the 5th and 8th node above the soil line for where these flowers will appear first. Good luck on getting some other females soon!

if your curious just keep growing them a bit its safe to get a good idea what all the parts look like and to tell if theres any differences between the male and females. shouldnt hurt to let em grow a bit more before you acetone them or whatever you said you like to do.

My biggest thing is, the faster they die the faster I get my lights to The plants that need them lol. I know I'm over thinking all of it and doing the newb stuff... Blah blah blah. I just feel like I could've hacked off three plants and converted their lights if I just knew for sure that only the males will develop growth on the side of the nodes. But alas, you're right, waiting and watching will teach me best.

balls on sticks with no trichomes = male
tulip shaped things with trichomes and no sticks = female

Get some feminized seeds if you do not want to care for and feed a male for 4-6 weeks.

Get those environmental issues under control or your girls will produce male flowers.

If a female plant is stressed and produces male flowers, it will produce feminized seeds. The seeds will be 100% female and just as likely to produce male flowers under the same circumstances as the parents.

bi-sexual tendencies? No

From what can be seen in the photos it is too premature to indicate sex dependably...besides you will have plenty of time to ascertain sex prior to pollen ejaculation...wait a bit for them to mature then you ill positively know sex before any pollination can occur as the average is males show earlier than females...in a small grow assuredly it is much better to use femmed seeds...and IME fems are at least as potent if not even more so than regs...then you can conserve resources and know you have females and focus your learning on proper environment for top potency and production
