Questions About Lighting & Ventilation

Does it matter what kind of light bulbs I use? Is the total wattage the only thing that matters? If so, how much wattage would I want to grow 5 plants?

I was also wondering if ventilation is completely necessary in a grow room. If I plan on growing in a small closet-like area that has a 1 foot gap between its walls and the roof, will that allow enough air flow for me to grow? Thanks!

my advice start reading, not tryint to be a dick at all but its best to just read as much info on as many diff topics as you can, b4 you know it youll be in the going in the right direction with a bigger "whole" picture

depends on your situation i guess but for me Metal Hallide are the best for veg and combine them with HPS for flowering.. But they are doin crazy shit with CFL's now also and they are cheaper!! And more Watts =More Growth= Bigger Plants= More Bud!! Hope this helps i little

I just started my cfl conversion today. Went from floro to cfl in a matter of 2 hours(including a decent built grow box). Can't wait!:D :joint:
