Questions about caregiver process

Im a bit confused. Am i suppose to take my patients card? Or does the state send me somthing? Also do you guys sign contracts with your patients and could somone please send me a demo? I just want to be safe when i do this. Im just a lil confused is all.

You get a caregiver card that has your name and your patient's name on it.

I don't have any contract with any of my patients, but we talk extensively about what is expected from either. I make sure I cover ownership of genetics, what happens if i run out/lose a crop/get raided, compensation (or lack thereof) as well as ingestion options, different effects of different strains, etc.

you wont need a contract if you are into being a caregiver for the right reason.

I would imagine that you start being a caregiver due to the needs of a loved one and expand to others in need.
Not become a caregiver as an excuse to grow cannabis for your own use.

I was more thinking that the contract is more of a disclosure. Like what nutrients are being used. So that if they are alergies or somthing. Basically to cover my ass.
