I just got a weed plant as a present it's about 1 month and a half and it's planted in a flowerpot, how much sun does it has to receive and how often so I water it? Thanks

Ideally you want at least 18 hrs of sunlight for growth, 12 for flower.
Thanks for the tip dude, i have just one more question; my plant is a month and a half old how much time roughly will it take to flower this is a picture of it right now.image.jpg

Have you forced flowering? Flowering times are heavily strain dependent. Even then it is still anybodies guess. Minimum 8 weeks from forcing, could be 10 or more.

So I just let it stand in the sun all day long? I've read some posts and it says 6-8 hours is that correct?
6-8 would be a minimum for outdoor, IMO. Really, you want as much sun as possible and the seasons will dictate when it flowers, so where you live is going to determine when it begins to flower/how long it will take to flower.

So if your growing outside put it somewhere where it gets at least 6-8hours of light, preferrably more. When the seasons starts to change you plant will know and it will start flowering. For most of the US that's anywhere from august-september. Then, cross your fingers it finishes completely in time before the first frost, so most outdoor gets harvested in the fall. Usually why the market is flooded with outdoors in the fall/winter.
