The equation is per square meter, so you must know how many meters your grow space is before starting the equation. It’s like asking how many apples can grow on a tree. Depends on the size of the tree.

Edit: if your space is 1M x 2M then you have 2 sq meters, so a plant that averages 700g per sq meter will have about 1400g in 2 sq meters. It’s just an average at best, different plants will give different results.

Not nearly what the seed companies advertise, they base those estimates on perfect growing conditions (and probably pad them too).

Yield is really interesting thing. It was my first questionmark in my mind when i start to grow (i am still newb). There is really no any mathematics here. What kind of light you are going to use? I am using 1000w HPS and 5x5 tent. So expecting 1000 grams of stuff is doable. Even 1200 maybe. But how many plants? How long veg? What is room conditions? etc etc etc.
Now i am currently week 7 of veg. I have heavily indica plants and topped+lst'd. They are 40cm height and 65cm wide now. Looks huge to me. But it's not really huge for yield. I mean, it looks really huge in your eyes but when you dry your stuff they are all gone.
You are looking for 700gr/m2? Then wish for no mold, pest, deficiency, excess, temperature issues and veg 8-10 weeks at least 6-7 plants (i don't know your tent but at least 5x5) with strong like like 1000w. Train them hard (top+lst). Fill every inch of your tent and with zero issues you can hit 700gr for sure.
But single mistake takes something from your final yield. Every ducking time
Look how big those plants. GG#4 and 7 week veg. I don't expect 700 grams here. Maybe around 500-600. Ofcourse if i don't get any issues during flowering.

Best Ive ever done in a 4 x 4 area, and a 1000w HID with Hortilux Bulb, from 1 plant was 22oz. I vegged it in 5 gallons of Promix BX for 60 days, and transplanted it into 20 Gallons of Promix BX, and vegged it another week, and then flipped the light. The only training I did was to bend the plant over at an early age, and all the side branching turned into main shoots.
The strain was a 2010 Barneys Farm G13 x Haze, and this strain will also stretch 3-5 times its size after flip to 12/12. It took up the whole 4 x 4 area. It looked like a forsythia bush.
We still have the mother plant.

A square meter is not very big, you could easily fill that with a single plant and a 3 week veg.

We dont have DMV we have MTO. somehow they all get the same memo;
Make sure to make people wait for long periods of time while you pretend to type on your computer. Then give them attitude because they didn't come up when you were free; or yell at them that they did. Be sure to be short with them and treat them as a lesser. Don't forget to look like you hate your job and everyone in line.

The MTO is the DMV - in metric.
And don't even think about smiling for your mug shot when you have to renew your license. Four retakes at one of their offices in Scarborough because the MTO lady felt I looked too happy.
