Look at the picture, I will post the whole series when I am done with the cabinet. I need some suggestions on sealing in/out light in both area of the cabinet. I tried using weather stripping but it stuck to the door and pulled away from the cabinet when i opened the door.

Any ideas?????? Please!!!

I still need to finish the small side which will be used for veg/clones/hiding space, lol
I am going to Mylar the whole flower area.

Peace out

doesnt look like enough space for veg, but if you can get temps and air under control i guys ittl work. Weather stripping works very well, if you have more id suggest trying it again, clean and dry the surface its sticking too. Without weather stripping my grow box would NOT work for flower. other than that all I can suggest is maybe nailing or stapling towels that have been rolled up and flattened, that worked for me in a grow. If they are small cracks of light than some white caulk may do. you can also make a sort of curtain between the door and the box. Just some thoughts! good luck with your grow mate

Thanks Psilo,

In the veg space I will have enough space for a couple of T5's, it is only for getting the youngens ready to Main-line, so that is plenty of space. I use seed so really don't need the space for mothers.
I have thought of gluing parchment paper to the door to prevent sticking.

Painted the door two days ago, must not have been totally dry.
I will post entire construction pics when finished.
Grow area is 30"x34", veg area is 11"x 30".

I don't know if this helps.
When we used to make 7 ply skateboards, we actually used mylar sheets so that the skateboard wouldn't be glued to the wood mold's after it was pressed together. Urea formaldehyde wouldn't stick to it.

In the past I have also used magnetized sheeting [magnet paper]...... like the crap on the back of calendars that realtors send you.
I found some of the "magnet paper" in bulk. I also cut out a track of tin and then a track of "magnet paper" to overlay the tin and made a small door seal [2.5' x 18"], works really well if it is thought out.
[Very similar to a fridge/ freezer seal...that's why they work so well.]
