Question on extract solvents and fats

ATTENTION all chemists and extraction pros!!!

So, not being a chemist as well as being new to this whole thing, I am fascinated with the number of options and procedures for getting an extract or oil from our little green friend (not Kermit the Frog). I am going to practice (safely, outside) with the BHO process using butane, but I'm wondering what would happen if I used a high-quality olive oil or coconut oil based cooking spray. Using the same technique as BHO with the process obviously taking longer due to the viscosity. I don't know what they use as "propellant" in these cans, but wouldn't the extract be the best of both worlds, as in a solvent AND a fat in the extract? I'm sure there's a damn good reason this hasn't been done before (or at least not successfully), but I'm just wondering what the experts think.

Be well, and be safe.

You're not going to be able to isolate the goods from the cooking oil. They don't evaporate at room temp like the other solvents.

Youre not really extracting the cannabinoids when you use butter or oils, they become incorporated with the medium. You need to use fats so the thc becomes available.
