So, I have a question for yous guys. I've read everywhere about how your flower room should bee 100% light free to avoid any problems. Sooooo, how does that work with outdoor grows? The moon is pretty bright sometimes. Wouldn't that effect them if they were so sensitive to light whille flowering?

I'm sorry if this is a topic that has already been covered on this forum. I couldn't find any info with a quick search.

Thx in advance,
DHmessiah

Its the environment in which they are being raised. The plants will adapt to what is presented to them. In an indoor scenario, the plants will quickly become accustomed to a strict regimen. After awhile, if you expose them to light leaks at the wrong times the plant may become very sensitive to that. Not so much so in an outdoor grow.
This is just one of the reasons why growing indoors and growing outdoors are very different. While its the same plant, the methods are two completely different animals.

Thx Cobnobuler, that makes alot of sense. So if the plants are vegged with some small lght leaks, it shouldn't be affected by a little light? My room is pitch black, I was just curious how the moon affected things.

Small light leaks are usually OK. The trouble is that we tend to underestimate indoor light leaks. If you can make out words on a page after full dark adaptation, that is too much light. You can also use pure green light of higher intensity ... plants cue on blue and red. cn

I recently thought I would try to bloom some plants on my deck. Then I did some reading. Blooming plants will tolerate, at night, as much light as a full moon can give off... at least for a time. I live in a fairly urban area... lots of street lights. So that plan turned into buying a second grow light and creating separate grow and bloom rooms.
