Question for a 400 watter HPS

Bought Six 5 gallon buckets from Home Depot today. Wondering how many I should use with a 400w HPS. Just hoping I'm not over planning.

Please let me know what you think. I have as much space as needed

If you pack them in tight, that's 2' x 3', so 6 square feet. With 400w you will have about 67 watts of HPS per square foot, which should do you well. I've heard the rough rule of thumb is 50w per square foot when using HPS or MH.

I squeeze 20, 3 gal buckets in a 5X5 area with one 400W and do very good.
