question about romulan

i was chilling with an older dude i know today, he's successful and pretty knowlegable about most things especially pot tho. he's shown me pictures of a pretty massive farm he had in hawaii in the 70s until he moved. today he asked what name specific strains i have smoked and it's a short list i can count on one hand becuase there's only a few people i trust enought to belive them about what it's called. i told him i smoked bubblegum, electric fruit punch, strawberry cough, and last i named romulan because it was my favorite. i told him how it had me stuck to my bed for hours until i fell asleep and he told me that wasn't romulan. he says he grew a fair amount in the late 80's and early 90s but that it was a strong sativa dominant plant with an extremely strong cerebral and mind boggling euphoric high but with no couchlock. now im curious becuase most companies that offer romulan say it's mostly indica but i remember somewhere someone said that the best place to get it is from next generation seed co. because they got the clostest thing to the originial sativa cut.

so what's the truth about romulan, is the real deal sativa or indica dominant:confused:

as far as i was aware, romulan = indica dominant. i've smoked it before and it def. had a couchlocking-indica feel.

I ordered romulan seeds from greenlifeseeds. I plan on saving them for a rainy day. The breeder is Next generation seed co. Unfortunatly greenlifeseeds was the only place to order them. They are not a very good seedbank, but the only place that carries romulan from next generation. Rumor has it that they have the origional romulan joe cutting. Federation seed co also was to have the origional romulan joe cutting, but it no longer available. From what I have been reading the breeder selected sativas that are shorter and have shorter flowing times which is where the confusion comes from between indica and sativa. I have also heard that it is primarily indica. So there is conflicting stuff posted on the internet about romulan. Now the romulan max sounds more on the indica side due to better yeilds.

Romulan is Mostly Indica.

"Rumours and guesses on the parentage of Romulan abound. Claims that the Romulan is a pure Indica (Afgani/Kush) are mistaken. While there may be some genetics from Indica (Afgani) varieties, anyone who has tryed the Romulan knows that the mind warping effect is that of plant with strong sativa traits."

Granted that is by Romulan Joe...

Currently:

Federation Seed Company - Romulan
Indica
Origins - Cali strain x White Rhino
Flowering - 56-60 days
Harvest - Mid October
