Question About New Growth & Buds

My plant is 3 weeks into flowering & I definetly seem some potentially strong budding sites. However, since this is my first time, how long does it take until a plant starts to take off in size and form some sizable buds. Right now, the budding sites are fairly small with tons of white hairs. I know I should probably be more patient, but I am just curious because this is my first female grow & I am excited. For the record, I am running a 250w HPS organic grow from bagseed. Thanks for any information.

You probly wont see HUGE bud sights with a 250 but usually depends on the strain, nutrients, temps, pot size, how big the plant is, how old the bulb is. . . Anyhow week 5-6 is when my previous set up of 150w started to fill up. So could possibly be around the same time, but there are a lot of factors.

Most bud growth happens in the last few weeks.

Both Kreyonic and IS speak the truth. Add more light and get bigger buds. Hard to tell what kind of harvest you'll get without knowing what strain you're growing, but I'll tell you this much. If it's bagseed, it was commercially grown, and all commercial growers grow strains that will produce the largest harvests, naturally. So I would bet your plant will land you some decent bud.
