Question about lighting sched.

I have 2 plants...id say probably around...2-3 weeks old...give or take a little...both are looking fairly healthy...the biggest one is around..4 inches in hieght...the second, younger, plant is around 2-3 inches high... i was wondering when would a good time to switch to the "18-6" or "12-12" i keep hearing so much about...if somebody could give these pics a look..and lemme know itd be endlessly appreciated... sorry about the crappy quality of pics. and secondly...which would be the most ideal LIGHT/NO LIGHT. settings...thanks guys

reason i didnt just search is cuz i need specific help...im a noob so i dont get all the lingo... i just basically want somebody to look at the pics and say yes...its time.. or no.. its not...lol

There is a lot of info here, you just need to get stuck in and do a lot of reading. Gradually you'll start to see the big picture as I did (well, I still am doing cause I'm a newbie too).

you need to have them on 18/6 or 24/0 during veg. yours is in the vegetative cycle. once they reach desired height then you can switch lighting to 12/12. 2-3 months for veg. 6-8 wks for flowering.
