Question about homebox

I'm thinking of buying a homebox http://www.head-nature.com/04165-400W

Has anyone used one of these before? Does the room smell at all?Is the smell low enough to be adequately covered with a timed room fragrance? Does light come out of it? Will a person that has nothing to do with marijuana understand something different when they enter the room?

Is it worth the cost?

Pricey I'd say, But for what they give you in the deal, Its worth it I think. No light should come out of it, it usually doesn't. You should be fine with any kind of Fragrance in your room. It doesn't need to be too strong because the kit comes with a carbon filter and that should ventilate the smell pretty well.

Well there will not be any smell if you exhaust through a carbon filter
There will probably be some pin hole light leaks in some areas but nothing to effect the dark period of the plants
It is going to be hard to cover up the tent itself, it is shady telling people that you are growing vegetables and flowers or something when you aren't willing to open it up and show them

If anything, Put the tent into a closet with the door cracked open in a bedroom or something.

Is it worth it? Probably.
Should you buy it? Probably not.
Does light come out of it? VERY little if all of the holes are closed but you still need some open for ventilation.
Does it smell? NO. The carbon filter should last a year before it starts to smell.
Will someone understand? Who cares, don't show them.

I said probably NOT, because there is a lot more you have to research and plan regarding your ventilation and temeratures. You can't simply put this thing in a closed bedroom and walk away. At the very least, know what you're getting into before spending any money.

Well, Im thinking to make my own homebox. I think is easy to do by myself.

I make this thread because Im afraid about smell. I already have a carbon filter but I never use this filter before and I dont know if the filter do the work, taking of the smell from the plants and keep it.

The homebox is very useful but very expensive, I think I can make a better one. I have everything homebox wants except the box. I can make one with black/white nylon and wooden thick veneer edges (not very thick, about 3 to 5 cm).

well you can vent your smell out the back of the house or threw the floor if your trying to be cautious .. i ran mine out the back and put a dryer cap outside so it looks legite but i also live NO WHERE NEAR ANYONE to smell it ..hope it goes well though
