I'm wondering if a company says for instance 10 weeks for flowering. does this 10 weeks for instance start the day I flip the lights to 12/12 or when I see flowers? I'm assuming when I flip the light. Also does anyone have issues with leaves browning and curling up during flowering? is this just me is it natural? Not sure if I'm underfeeding or under watering and it's causing it or it's just natural during flowering stage. I grew cheese skunk 1 and sour d. seems like the skunk 1 is best yielder and cheese is most potent but I still feel the plants should have been better quality but I'm also not done curing and this could be why. Thanks fellow smokers!

12/12 from when you see pre flowers...Every breeder is different...Its hard to go off those times since every grow is different. As to the browning leaves, yes the foilage leaves will slowly die off as you get further into flower because the plant is using the stored energy in the leaves to produce buds..

yeah, the night it gets 12/12 that counts as 1 and then 10 weeks is 70 days

dude um your lights could be too close, too much heat, or a nutrient problem

Breeders always exaggerate to get you to buy. Figure it this way. Sativas in general take about 10-12 weeks or longer. Indicas or crosses of the two species take less time. Usually about 8-9 weeks.

When a seed-breeders' tells me their strain finishes in 8 weeks, they are assuming you turn the lights to 12/12 at exactly the right time and 8 weeks later it is finished. I always figure that finishing times are close or even shorter for me. BigSteve.

Predicted times from breeders are under optimum conditions, but will they divulge those optimum conditions?
I count my days of flower as Navy said.......
From the first pistils, not from flip.
