Push or Pull?

Hey guys,

As you may know, we got hit with -5 the other night in central Ontario. I could only bring in 2 of my plants and covered the remaining plants with garbage bags. I feel like some of my plants could be ready within a few days but some a couple weeks at least. They took a pretty bad hit from the frost, even with the bags on them. They were stiff when I took them off... Some of the leaves fried, but overall they are alive. I'm wondering if I should keep them going until next frost, or cut my losses and take them off? Will the buds still mature or did the frost shock them too much?

I'm just wondering what you guys think.. thanks!

Sorry for the bad quality photos. I can't seem to get any clear ones with my phone... A lot of the leaves have dry brown spots from the cold that you cant see. It's also hard to make out any of the buds unfortunately. The frost turned a lot of the white hairs orange over night and just changed the appearance of the buds.

I've said this before but here goes
Plastic bags suck for protecting from frost
A few sheets of newspaper draped over the plants will do a better job
Plastic just turns as cold as the frost
Your plants will thank you if you wait as long as possible

It was one of the trial & error things, and turned out to be a bad idea. I thought for the short duration it would keep the frost from setting down on my plants but they were still covered in frost, but it was cold. Thanks for the tip.
I'm just not sure if they will continue growing or if that freeze caused parts of my plants to die - leading to bud rot. I don't want to cause them more harm by leaving them out if that makes sense. This is my first outdoor grow, I'm also not sure if some of mine are finished. I'll start a new thread in outdoor growing with better pics.

and just another thing.. I've had to chop off a cola and another big bud due to bud rot.. I'm keeping a close eye out now but that shit scares me.

One or two frost in the fall won't kill your plant
In the spring when plants are younger is a different story

They were almost frozen solid, not just frosty lol.. isn't a hard freeze bad for your plants, destroying the trichomes on it? they look like they took a beating

I had to pull off a few buds that were starting to mold. Also found a few worms that needed to be removed. My buds feel like they lost density from the other night, and just do not look as appealing. :wall:
