These bubba kush seedlings are @ day 8 under T5's n almost all have dark purple stems. Anyone have any familiarity with this strain? Please advise if all is well since this is my first grow of bubba. It's a No. Cal. Bubba strain my guy picked up in Redding last year.

Purple Stems can be that the plants are cold.. I dont know about Bubba Kush, i've never grown it.. But, purple stems, or purple leaf stems are usually due to cold tempartures..

what medium are you growing in? soil, or soil less? I.'ve seen purple stems more often in cold weather, but even more often in soil less mixes that have no nutrients in them. The cotyledon leaves supply nutrients for the seedlings, but i dont think its enough for nutrientless mixes. I'm by NO means an expert, but thats my $.02.

Look anything like this?
I'm thinking it's a trait. The mother of this seedling, which I grew over two years ago, had purple stems, veins and hairs, Not all were though, some were green and some mixed. When she flowered, the hairs were a real vibrant eye catching purple. A pure eyegasm if you ask me.

This gal is just a few days old in the pic, later today I'll post another one.

FYI: Medium is just plain old Miracle Grow potting soil, no ferts or additives.

I think it is pretty normal tbh. One of my og kush started like that but the other one didnt and I was using same nutes ph and ec. But purple stems could be alot of things. Cold causes purpling. Low mag causes purpling and high nitrogen causes it too. You just have to work out what is causing it. But I guarantee it is one of the above problems.
