Purple Polyploid

Does any indoor grower have any experience with polyploidy in cannabis?

I noticed the one branch on the Purple Merkel (Grandaddy Purple x Larry OG) had a mutation of two heads and the branch looks a fusion between two. I took a clone of the affected branch in the hopes of preserving of what I understand is polyploidy, and a purple one at that.

Will the clone exhibit the same look? Why is only one branch two-headed?

I had one in my first grow. 8 Ball Kush from Barneys. I just left it till the end, cut it off and tossed it. I know @Laughing Grass had one around the same time. I did like she recommended and tossed it, pack full of leaf it would be harsh. As Red Eyed said not desirable.

Mine were Barney's too. I've sworn off growing anything from them in the future.

I tried trimming it but in the end it was so much leaf and very few trichomes.

I don't know if they're all the same but mine was like two stems fused together with with two leaves forming at each node instead of one

An update.

Although I haven't smoked it yet, I have to say, I won't grow this purple strain (Purple Merkel (Grandaddy Purple x Larry OG)) again. It's simply too bushy, short and on the difficult side to grow. Is this the general experience with purple weed?
