Purple Max

I was just searching for a bloom formula to use on my soil. I saw this and wondered if you really get what you pay for ($32/8oz). Sounds neat but how you supposed to know if any of these items really helps? :dunce::dunce:

In my experience , none of these items are worth it. I say if u want fatter buds , keep them healthy , use more light and train them well.
You want more herb , veg longer use more light and train them well. Just my opinion.
Good Luck!!

Ya, I guess I've been looking for a magic cure. Enclosed is my current subject. It has gone through some intense summer heat (temps exceeding 101 degrees) and is now barely recovering. I've had good luck with bucket system in the past but just can't really nail down what gives them the bud boost for ones like I view daily. Outside in a guarded position which receives sufficient daylight and gets plenty of nutes. I've been looking for a good ph meter to see if that would pick it up a bit. Most I've viewed have a .2 accuracy which I wonder is accurate enough? :dunce:

The product listed is a new product. They say it's still in the experimental stage. I hate to spend money for nothing so I respect your opinion. I still wonder if it would do some good?

That purple max has been around for a while, I used it in 2008. I was growing purple kush in coco/perlite with Cutting Edge brand nutrients and I used the purple max per directions, maybe on the light end of suggested application rate. I used it on half my plants just to kinda see if I could see a difference. Every thing came out looking the same, no additional color or trichome coverage with the purple max plants.

I think that same text has been on the bottle for years, where it talks about the outdoor mendo growers reporting great results and how it is in experimental phase.

I would appreciate your suggestion on what might be a good buy for the money. That stuff runs over $30/8oz. Currently I use Alaska Fish Fertilizer at 3:1:1 and mix 8 teaspoons/gallon. I get ok results for an all round nute but it just seems there would be something to give those buds a boost.

Here's a tip from eHow on using Molasses as a plant nutrient. It's completely organic and perfect for the final stage of flowering. I read on another blog in RIU about it as well. It boosts the micro-organisms in the soil and really fattens the bud right up. Costs less than $3 at the grocery store. The Tiger Bloom was great for the initial growth stage for the bud and really kept the plant real green. It was $20+ but was well worth the money.
