the guy at my local hydro shop told me that next year Botanicare's whole line is going to be OMRI certified. cool.

Love to know more about the Pure Blend Pro myself. heard great things.

Using fox farm liquids and botanicare Sweet now. no complaints.

I'm using it.... the instructions on the package are wrong... you really have to carefully monitor your PPM to make sure you don't over fertilize the plants... I learned this one the hard way.

I also found this on the internet... which essentially says I'm not the only one to have this problem. Pure Blend Pro

Here's what it says:

PLEASE NOTE:
Many hydroponic growers have begun noticing a problem with the feeding chart/directions on the PureBlend Pro bottles. If you follow their directions you will find that the strength of your solution is way too high. It is best to monitor the PPM in your solution. Find out what your plant needs & keep your solution at that level, or maybe just a little higher. ... If you don't have a way of monitoring your solution, we HIGHLY reccomend getting a meter

pure blend is the shit i dont ever want to change but yes the back is wrong i use like 1/2 a teaspoon this time and finally barley any nute burn but other than that there whole line is fuckin greattttt. My hydro store guy told me that liquid karma helps the roots grow and isn't as important in flowering but who nos i use it all the way thru.

heres a pic of some aurora b with all pure blend nutes

later:blsmoke:

yes, I feed every watering at 30ml per gallon for flowering and for veg I use no more than 30ml per gallon. I used full strength flowering nutes for a clone and it didn't burn it. Also I add 1 tablespoon of unusulphured molasses for one gallon of water once a week after the transition.

I got a hot tip on here to use the Pure Blend Pro Bloom for the entire time and forget the grow version. I been doing that and havent used the grow in quite a while. The plants seem to be doing fine. I think maybe you might want to re-read the label directions. Seems like the the 1 oz increment is for 5 gallons of water as opposed to 1 gallon. I been using 1 capful per gallon and all seems well thus far. Notice the nitrogen levels arent much different on either the Grow or the Bloom which got me sorta cornfused when I bought the stuff. Best of fortunes to you and your grow.

No, you might want to reread the feeding charts, they say 1 tablespoon (30ml per gallon) for 4 liters of water for full bloom.

OK... so I suck at the metric system.... but according to the online conversion calculator I used 30 ML converts to 2.028 tablespoons... not 1.

Anyhooooo.... sounds like you have it all under control for soil....

I just want the hydo growers to be aware that the feeding instructions are wrong for hydro. Even at 1 tablespoon per gallon the PPM is through the roof. I have a 13 gallon reservoir that I usually fill to 10 gallons. I use 2 tablespoons (total) of the pure blend pro grow and my PPM is around 950. Of course my tap water starts off with a PPM of about 400 so that is also a contributing factor. Even so... for Hydro 1 Tablespoon per gallon is going to be way too high.

I meant to say I use 2 tablespoon per gallon...

 Holy shit!!! That just goes to show the huge difference between Soil and Hydro. 2 tablespoons (PureBlend Pro Grow) per gallon in Hydro would kill the plants.

Before I was monitoring my PPM I just followed the directions and backed off a little .... thinking I would be going easy on the nutes. I used 6 tablespoons to 10 gallons of water. After my plants suffered severe burns.... I started monitoring the PPM..... at that strength I found the PPM shot up right past 2000 PPM (my meter only goes to 2000).

Got it all worked out now and found that 2 tablespoons to 10 gallons of water is the right mix for my water.

I must say that I am very disappointed that the package feeding instructions could be so far off (for hydro). I'm going to finish this grow with these nutes... but I read another thread praising the Dutch Master Gold nutes and I'm going to give them a try with my next grow.
