Pruning

I was told today that if you prune a plant in veg stage at the top of the plant just as its forming its secondry leaves it will grow an extra 5 tops does anyone know if this works???? thanks

there is a procedure called topping that will take a single growing top and give you tow, and in some cases three tops.....have not heard of five ....but I suppose it is possible. after the plant reaches 3-4 nodes....the very top new growth is clipped (with my finger nails) close to its origin and within several days the two or more tops will erupt.

nope if you do that you will get two tops and if you cut those two you will get four and so on and so on.
