Pruning to get horizontal growth?

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice. I have limited height but almost unlimited width in my grow room setup. This is my 1st grow but I want to try and get the plants to grow outwards nicely instead of just growing up or my HPS will burn them.

I've read a bit about pruning but to be honest, as a first time grower I'm really worried about cutting off something I shouldn't and ruining the entire plant.

Can anyone advise on some tips to get plants to grow nice and wide? Any links would also be greatly appreciated.

if you dont want to cut anything then put a screen or net over the top and train the plant under it search scrog.

plants under 2 x 600w in a cab only 4 foot
tall grown under a net screen
