Prune juice?

Has anyone ever tried using prune juice for their carbs before just wondering if it'll hurt my plants at all? Tia

It doubles bud weight if used every feeding. Mix your nutrients in it. No need to adjust pH.

Why do you need to give your plants carbs? The plant produces the carbohydrates it needs through photosynthesis. Prune juice would probably attract bugs.

Please don’t. I’m pulling this guy’s leg. I see ants and more ants. Some of them bringing fruit flies. The next post would be asking what to do about those.

Stick around long enough and you will see it from our point of view....

Otherwise it may decompose as with any organic substance and then uptaken. At best it might work in small amounts but to what end when there will be better alternatives i dont know.

I thought "maybe* being its prunes so its organic right I'm growing outdoors in soil I may be fairly new to growing but I'm not the worst lol got reading ingredients at my dads and it sounded like it might work

And hence why that dude pulls your leg - new grower trying everything but the simple obvious and easiest i.e. a bottle of ferts.

If peeps are like this then it simply tells you to hold back and look for a better idea so in reality you get gold back for asking.

I guess a lot of organic substances liquid and solid will give something to either the soil, plant or both indirectly or directly but its a complex subject and you should stick to basic methods whilst you digest all the info you need rather than jump in and do a whole bunch of crazy stuff.

To make healthy soil you feed the herd and tend to their needs and they will eat most organic goodies in the right amounts. We compost loads of crap to make black gold theres not a lot to that and you could pour on some prune juice should you wish
