a film canister with a bit of dry rice in it works nice, stick the seeds in it then put in the fridge.

I bought little glass vials filled with rice and put it in the fridge. but only till new years just throw them in your closet its not like you put veggie seeds in the fridge.

ohh i like this, this will save me time and hassle! (referring to rice, as desiccant) i cant just throw them in a bag fresh and let the rice dry them:) then store in the fridge after a few days and removing the rice. PIA to have whole bunch of containers filler with different seeds, not space effcient so to speak.

but normally i toss em in a pill bottle room temps and store for years. never had a problems even with high grade seeds this way.

ya if your storing them for over a year thats the way to go. thats why I keep my seeds in the fridge cause I got over 100 seeds and I'm always buying more so it could take me well over a year to get to some of the seeds I have. but new years aint even 2 weeks away theirs no point in the dude puting them in the fridge for that.

with fresh seeds i fill up the film canister about 1/4 full of rice, then add my seeds and shake them up. I leave them at room temp for a few days, opening the canister a couple times a day. after a few days i seal the canister and stick in fridge. I have just stuck the canister with rice and seeds right off the plant directly into the fridge with no ill consequences.
