Propagation??

hi there fellow R.I.Upper's...

i have just purchesed a thermostical propagator and just wondered once ive germinated my seeds in kitchen towel and transfered my seeds over to my propagator do i switch my flourescant on straight away or do i wait for the seedling to appear and switch the light on?????
