prolly a dumb question

I always thought it was only the marijuana leaf that was smoked. When I bought bags as a kid there were buds in there (which I assumed to be just a shriveled up bunch of plant matter).

So when you grow a plant do you smoke those big leafs you see as the typical marijuana leaf or just the bud? Is there no THC in there at all or just less than the bud itself?

Or is it all ground up and smoked togther? I remember seeds and stems are bad (I still remember a headache they gave me 20 yrs ago).

I know this is a real noob of a question but I have no clue really.

I used to smoke years ago. Usually came my way in joint form. Never seen a plant except in pics. I thought I was doing good knowing not to smoke the seeds.
