Okay, I realized just this feed I am over nute giving these gals. They are also stretched a bit. :) I'm going straight water for a bit since the tips are yellowing.

My fan in the room died so I need to get another soon.

I figure I have 2 to 2.5 weeks of flowering left to hit 8 weeks flowering. I learned I probably vegetated too long. Since these are upwards towards four and a half to five feet. I have the HPS and the two CFL side lights. Happy for a first timer though.

Thanks...

I recomend before any new grower starts to read everything you can. Then be as anal as hell about every little thing. Even if it is nothing important this attentive reaction to detail helps you learn more. And ask questions. If you have read all you can, done research... there is no wrong question. So long as you do the leg work first.

I was tired of getting wet bud, not properly cured bud, etc. That and I recall growing up that the fruit out my father's garden always tasted better than the commercial crap being churned out. This was in Arizona too, where the hot soil and conditions didn't lead to a very natural growing environment. To this day though I swear those tomatoes are the best I've ever had.

So I went to a trusted friend who has experience in these matters and I asked for a few seeds. He provided. I decided to go organic and followed up with buying a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and their line of nute products. I went with soil because I can put my fingers in the dirt, it's more tangible to me and seems to be a good medium for beginners.

I then checked on the plants every day. Watered sparingly and let the cheap soil meter (5 dollars at home depot) show close to dry before adding more. Then I would see how just a little water would change the meter. Once the meter responded to where I wanted I gauged how much water I needed at that state to get the most effective response out of my girls.

Anyway, after a couple of weeks I will chop, dry and cure. Then my friends will share in the wonderful fruit from my garden just as my dad made sure anyone who came by had one of is juicy tomatoes.
