Problem with to much heat!

I have a 1000w HPS going in a 1900m L x 550mm D x 1600mm H. It keeps sitting around the 40 degree mark. I need it down too atleast 32 degrees. I have exguast and cool inlet. I dont know my problem. Plenty of air circulation.

1000w ......ok ........your area in Us terms would be 6.23 x 1.8 x 5.24.......this is feet so the math for minal air u need is that in feet

now in F your temp is 107..........u want is some where 78/72( in c that is 26/22) anything above 80f or 27c thc degrades

given this i think u are using to small of a fan and the intake is to small /under powered

I dont have a reflective hood at all at the moment. I do haave one. Just not able to get it now. And yes its that hot. Ive got it down too 32 degrees celsius now. I have a 8" commercial intake/outtake fan. If anything its too big. The I have a 4" cool air intake fan. Its not a great set up. Not air tight whatsoever. Not huge gaps, just lot of air can escape. And a normal cheapo pedestal fan that sits under my girls to give air too the roots. PLENTY of air in and out. Is there a certain way to have timers to keep optical coolness or some kind of strategic planning? That's a great tip thanks. I didn't know about "degrading thc"

My area is +2°f over ambient....you need proper air movement or to lower temp of air coming in

I'm on my first grow, but for what it's worth having ur day cycle run during the night when it's cooler, not venting into the room,cover windows in plastic, it in a garage? my garage door heats up like a god damn oven.

4'' intake fan ? Is that the entire intake size 4 inches ? If so you need a intake hole around 12'' total to feed the big 8'' fan. Really id ditch the 8'' and the 4'' fan you got for a 6'' Vortex inline fan or similar. Then id only run the Vortex as the exhaust fan and have the big intake hole so the passive intake would do its job.
