I like to think that there are no such thing as a "stupid question".,But this one is the exception.NO, Lime juice & lime for soil is different. If you spray lime juice on your plants/soil you are taking a chance that the will die or be stunted. Now,if you'll excuse me please,I need to go and eat my buffalo wings so i can fly.

Lime juice is a citric acid and will lower the PH of your soil. The "lime" that is referred to here in these forums is Granulated Dolomite Lime ... available in any nursery. Used in small amounts in the soil mix, like a SMALL handful for every two-gallons of soil mix, will stabilize your PH throughout the grow. A proper PH ensures that the plants will take up the maximum amounts of nutrients. A PH that is too low, or too high, will cause nutrient lock-out. A safe PH for soil grows is between 6.3 and 7.0.

Don't be pouring lime juice all over you grow. Do it the proper way ... go buy some Granulated Dolomite Lime. Then, do a search on the site here to find good soil mixes.

Good luck ... :)

and while that was obviously a silly question it wasn't answered in the FAQ and I'm sure if you put yourself in a noob mindset you guys can admit it even makes sense to ask...

and Luke, the name of buffalo wings use to always confused me.

probably a dumb question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nar its not mate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
a dumb question is one that is not asked,,,,dolomite lime is a compound of magnesium(mg) &calcium(ca) which are secondary nutrients which are needed.
also it should be as fine as possible so its readily available.also will stabilize your PH throughout the grow. as viredd pointed out.

No question is stupid. Now, it would have been stupid if he didn't ask the question and put lime juice on his plants.
