pretty bad yellowing problem during start of flower, need advice

ok so out of 5 plants I had 1 female. at least there was 1 I guess, but it was certainly not the healthiest of the bunch and has been throwing yellow leaves a lot lately. I defoliated all of the yellow and removed all growth below the first decent branches. I includeda before and an after pic. It is about 2 weeks into flower as well so included one other pic of what the tops look like. Does anyone have any advice about this yellowing. I'm sure I will get a lot of 'N deficiency' answers but I really don't think that's it. Ive got it under low light because its obviously stressed, plus all the defoliation I just did.

A friend of mine advised me to remove all of the yellow leaves and maybe the spreading would stop, but it is showing up again. Any thoughts?? my temps are 73-79 and my humidity is 40-55. Soild was bad to start with. said it had "two months of pre-mixed fertilizer." but its been about 3 months and I flushed twice, so I recently went on a very diluted nutrient solution cycle. I have been using calmag also.

Anyone think a product like a B1 1-1-1 plant starter/transplant shock reducer would help? Like this
one:

Thank you to anyone offering advice! I rely on you guys a lot.

Your plant is pulling nutrients from the leaves, rather than the soil. Turning them yellow. That's fine, yellowing in flower is normal. However, excess yellowing and leaves that drop off result from improper nutrient balance. Usually b/c there aren't many nutrients left in the soil. I'd suggest a simple blend, like tiger bloom or Mother Earth organic tea. Like 2-2-2.

I disagree, YELLOWING IN FLOWER IS NOT NORMAL, it is a forum myth that keeps getting told. Especially 2 weeks into flower, they should be as green and bigger than they have ever been after 2 weeks. your soil, nutrient combo is effen you all up. I would use only water for a few and see if it doesn't improve. Never use a soil with ferts in it.

Right, your plants shouldn't yellow at two weeks into flower. But after a month, some strains will yellow. Especially if you grow organic. And what's this about not buying soil with nutes in it? C'mon son..

um,yeah, You want to control ALL aspects of your grow, using soil with time release ferts takes away that control, SON.
And Only people that don't know how to grow properly let there plants yellow. My plants( any strain) are green until finished,Just sayin.

That's a pretty small pot your using...did you transplant before the flip? I also see fly strips...got gnats? Too much water...
I would transplant into a good organic soil and give water only for a good minute...

^^^^^ LOL! you always get one eh chuck..? @ OP It could be the Pot size(1Gal for Every Month Of Grow I think is the Rule of Thumb)I could be Wrong?

Lack of Good Nutes..when You "Flushed"? Twice You removed pretty much all or most of the Added Nutes that hadn't been used up by the Plant...This is just Me...But I would give them some FISH MIX, Feeds the Soil not the Plant, Try and see them Perk right up, and The Lovely Green that they should be.

Peace

hope You Sort.

Do your tools need calibrating (ph/PPM) meter, a lockout occurs when this is bad. Iron,Zinc,Nitrogen, Magnesium, and Sulphur deficiencies all cause yellowing as well. # If you have Gnats....take care of them. I would flush, hit them with trace minerals and veg food. Kill bugs.

Regardless of if I have a few yellow leaves, my flowers are headies. I really don't think it matters. Good for you guys though, for having green leaves! That's great!

Also "c'mon son" is Ed Lover's line, dude from MTV Raps! -- he's pretty funny on YouTube; if you're into hip-hop culture and Shaq'tin a fool.

Pre mixed soils its best when you water to water around the edge of the pot and let it work its way to the center that way ur roots stretch out gives I a stronger stem and only makes the nutrients it gets on the way damp so u don't get to much also no more trimming its trying to take resources from lower leaves cuz it cant feed it self properly

On the contrary, time released soils are the WORST for newbies. Most newbies start reaching out for help after their time released soil starts causing them problems and they don't know WTF is going wrong
This is me a year ago in time released soil

I totally here wot ur saying md and I've cherished ur advice loads of times but I don't think I would've got to the point I'm at in my grow IMO and it is only my opinion because their r so many people on riu that will confuse newbies like myself about wot nuites to use how much to give and how often to give the range of products out their is mind boggling. If u at least have a soil that has nuites init to do u the first few week when potting up u can then have the time to decide for yourself witch line u will take.

You are still able to be a newbie and do it well, experience is shared. You do it poorly and you refrain next time. Do it well and have a little pride.
