Preserving hash in beeswax

What are your guys thoughts on preserving hash in beeswax??
Im planning on making a bit of hash at the end of the season and was thinking if it was an option to make the typical homemade silk screen hash then coat it in a layer of bees wax to keep it fresh, and also as a stealth method.
Because the wax and hash are at different levels of consistency i think they may be separable..
Whats the average shelf life of your average hash anyway???
Cheers

the hash on the outside of the ball will lose a little potency over time. not to much
"Marijuana Chemistry" has a good section on hash and storing it.

IMO- I wouldn't do the bees wax truck your thinking of.
Just keep the air, and light away from it, and hot temps.

Hash is real stable as it is almost completely moisture-free. No water means little degradation. I used to import pounds of hash and kif from, well never mind. Buy the pounds were always separated with waxed paper. Used to get Nepalese tit hash shaped in the perfect shape of a large breast complete with nipple. Those lbs. were completely wrapped in wax paper with a wax seal closing the paper together. Looked like a huge Hershey's Kiss. So I would agree that wax and waxpaper are good media for storing hash long term. Good luck, BigSteve.
