preserving genetics? grandpas breath, sherbet breath, rainbow cookies

I just popped some old seeds that were 4 or 5 years old and they took about 10 days to germinate so make sure you have got a lot of patience if you are popping old seeds and don't throw them out if they don't germinate within 3 or 4 days

update i had lots die also right now im still going the tap roots came out but they are just sitting outside the seed they wont grow anymore are they cooked? like they have their little tails out but no movement?
