Preflowers and Maturity?

Hey guys and girls.
I know this question has been asked a million times before but are these preflowers?
The plants are at 7/8th node, are between 11-14 inches tall and are 37 days old from sprouting.
If not, when should they start to appear, (how many days from sprouting) ? And also while we're on the topic of plant maturity when will alternating nodes occur? They are alternating on the secondary growth but from what I know it is only a sign of maturity when it occurs on the main stem.
If I am incorrect then feel free to educate me, but only if you know your greens.
Please no replies starting with "Well I don't know, but..." lol.

And you are both 100% correct. took another 2 days after those pics were taken for the preflowers to develop fully. Which means preflowers appear in this instance before alternating nodes... which still hasn't happened yet... just in case anyone's thinkin of askin the same question.
Jus topped them today and took some cuttings too. First grow but was feelin confident.
Thinking of chopping bottom branches off before putting into flower.
Any suggestions for best results with cuttings/pruning etc?
