Hey RIU what's happening. So I'm making plans to fire up my grow room again after a 4 or 5 year hiatus from indoor growing and I had a question about my design. For a number of reasons, I have already decided I'm going to run two 1000w HPS lights. My main questions regard the placement and orientation of my lights in my space.
The place I grow in will be a partitioned area of my very large laundry room in my house. The two outside walls are insulated, but the two interior walls will be made of 2x4's and black & white poly. 126 inches (10 ft 6 in) long by 54 inches (4 ft 6 in) wide. Height-wise, the ceiling slopes and goes from 84 inches (7 ft) at the lowest point to 102 inches (8ft 6 in) at the highest. A 2.5 ft section of the allotted space will have T5's and be used to keep my mothers going and constantly have clones. Now, do you think it would benefit me to divide the remaining space into two separate 1000w grow rooms, thereby allowing a harvest every 4 or 5 weeks? Or should I put both lights together in the same room, having only 1 harvest every 8-10 weeks, but hopefully taking advantage of the two lights' synergy (overlap) to get a better yield?
Here are some quick diagrams I made on MS paint in like 5 minutes:
So which is a better idea for me, and why? I would love to hear some ideas/opinions and I thank you guys very much in advance for any help you can give. Thanks again take it easy RIU'ers have a good night and a hell of a weekend.
ps The diagrams are very rudimentary and don't include other elements of my room (fans, AC, tray, etc). If you have any questions in that respect, feel free to ask
