PPP and Hindu Kush flouro grow

Started this grow on October 05, 2008, five feminized PPP from Nirvana and six hindu kush.

Grow is with four overhead 4ft flouro's and two 4-ft flouros on each side.

I live in the north midwest and have these babies in a grow shed 4x4x5ft tall. I had to use a small space heater for heat which really beat up one of my girls.

Fan has been blowing non-stop, also keeps the heat evenly dispursed.

Soil is miracle grow premium and I have watered almost every day.

To date I have nine ladies left, two were male and were removed immediately. Pictures on next post.

hell yah nice.. Ive found my flouro grows are alittle lengthy and the buds got decent but about the size of pieces of bubble gum.. when i added the cfl for flowering they plumped up nicely and got thicker and longer... Great job. I use mg organic and mg moisture control... no nutes except what in the soil... the price of mg and that it has nutes already is my biggest + for Miricle grow. fox farm was 20 dollars a bag and to have to add 20 dollars worth of nutes I was thinking it was crazy not to use the 8 dollar big bag of mg organic...

Ill keep my eyes on this grow.. I love flouro... I found a site that has some nice referbished 250 watt hps for flowering they priced at 90.00 which is fucken crazy nice price...www.insidesun.com

Thanks homegrown. I lot of people don't like Mg but I love it. Of course I don't want to mess with the nutes just yet. Maybe after a few more grows I'll be ready. I think I just might add a few cfl's. They really help?? Only sad thing with Flouro's is you know the bud will be fluffy. Thanks!!

Hey KMO, did the Molassas make a difference?? It's easy enough to use so I may as well give it a try!!!!

Hey Breather. Your plants look happy and healthy. I can't imagine how tough it is to manage temperature for an outside grow in the upper midwest. (I'm originally from WI) Keep up the good work, and you gotta tell me where you got the diamond plate reflector for your flouros.

Hey Abnjm,

Got the diamond plates from HD. I think they went for about $25 each. They seem to be holding up well.

The temperature hasn't been that bad. Just a little heater with thermostat. It really beat up that one plant but the center stem of that same plant is just covered with bud! I also insulated with the bubble type silver wrap, worked really well, put it on the floor, ceiling everywhere. I'm hoping that with the dry air in there it will produce some more thc in the buds.

Everything looks good. Have you ever though about topping your plants to keep them shorter and bushier??

I'm gonna start a little propagation/clone/early veg box to get a jump start on my next grow, and I'm thinking about using 4' 40w flouros for the lighting. I wanted to keep it cheap, but diamondplate in a grow box? That would be cool! After all, why grow weed if you can't be stylin????? :blsmoke:

Update on PPP and Hindu Kush grow.

I want to 12/12 on November 05, 2008 so today marks four weeks of flowering. The first pic is of the tallest which is the Hindu Kush, she’s starting to lean from the bud weight and had to prop her up a little. So, the first five are the Hindu Kush and the last four are the PPP. The PPP looks like it is going to be just one big bud stick when it’s done.

I’m still watering every day and misting the entire plant about every three days. The environment inside the grow area is very dry. Fan is still circulating 24 hours a day.

Still using the four 4-ft flouros across the top and two 4-ft flouros on each side.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yeh those girls are fattening up pretty nice.

you were talking about getting a few CFLs, id hang a few around the colas if possible and get those bud some density

thanks hydro!! The plan is to finish this grow as is and then go to another grow light for later, probably stick with flouro for veg and HPS for flower. thanks for stopping by.
